Nexen Tire said on October 7 it has opened a fourth logistics center in Australia, in Perth, Western Australia. The site extends a network that had been concentrated in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. First-half sales at the Australian unit rose more than 50% from a year earlier.
Where is the new center?
Nexen Tire opened a logistics center in Perth, the largest city in Western Australia, and expanded its local distribution network. The move extends hubs that had been focused on the east, including Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
The company said the Perth site will shorten product supply times in the west and allow inventory to be run against local demand.
What marketing continues?
Store marketing in Australia will also expand. Nexen Tire is officially introducing shop branding, applying its design to partner-store signs, interiors and displays. Store design will be unified around purple to increase brand exposure.
Sports marketing continues. Nexen Tire has sponsored A-League club Sydney FC since the 2024/25 season and will continue for the 2026/27 season, which opens on October 16.
Sales at the Australian unit are also up. First-half sales this year rose more than 50% from the same period last year, and were 2.6 times the first half of 2024.
Nexen Tire supplies original-equipment tires to Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Audi. In Australia it plans to widen the sales base by expanding the logistics network and local marketing together.
