In South Korea, food delivery riders are essential to the country’s rapid service economy. Recognizing their value, Baemin’s logistics arm, Woowa Brothers’ affiliate “Woowa Youths,” hosted a special event called "Thanks, Veteran Day."
They invited experienced Baemin Connect riders who completed official safety training, to express gratitude and gather feedback from the field. It wasn’t just a thank-you—it was a platform for two-way conversation.
The first session introduced the "Delivery Master Club," which offers graded perks based on delivery volume. These include new motorcycles and top-quality safety gear like helmets and vests. Riders were encouraged to share their thoughts based on real-world experience.
Next, riders revisited the "Baemin Connect" service. Through its partnership benefit program called ‘Ba-nefit,’ riders gain access to vehicle maintenance, financial support, medical services, and seasonal equipment. Safety gear marketplaces and rest campaigns during extreme weather seasons were also highlighted.
But the most meaningful part was the final session, where riders directly proposed ideas for improving conditions. Woowa Youths has a track record of incorporating rider voices through meetings and surveys—and this time was no different.
At the end of the event, riders received personalized thank-you notes and safety equipment. One participant shared how they felt truly respected as a growth partner—not just a service provider.
Woowa Youths emphasized that they will continue expanding channels for communication—both online and offline—to co-create a safer and smarter delivery environment.
This wasn’t just about recognition. It was about policy shaped by people. It reflects a maturing delivery industry that listens and grows with those on the road.
