Surviving the Restaurant Game: Korea’s Top Delivery App’s Playbook

In a time of high inflation and economic slowdown, South Korea’s leading food delivery platform, Baemin, introduced a practical guide for restaurant owners. Its operator, Woowa Brothers, gathered insights from 12 experts—including chefs, professors, and researchers—over the past year to create a daily workbook titled "One-a-Day Restaurant Management Guide."

Instead of just offering generic advice, the guidebook is designed to help business owners ask themselves the right questions—like "Who are my customers?" or "How can I shorten delivery times?"—and take action based on their own answers. From breaking down customer types to optimizing delivery routes, the content is hands-on, specific, and easy to implement.

Available for free download on Baemin's Food Business Plaza, the guide is structured into four key themes: increasing sales, reducing costs, growing the business, and managing profit. For instance, the guide explains how rearranging pickup areas or improving delivery paths can save up to 10 minutes, directly impacting customer satisfaction.

Woowa Brothers is also launching educational programs aligned with the guide. From staff cost management to pricing strategies, real restaurant owners lead these sessions, making them highly relevant and actionable.

Ultimately, Baemin aims to be more than just a service platform—it wants to become a strategic partner for restaurant owners. The guide empowers business owners to self-assess, adapt, and thrive—even in challenging times.

This initiative highlights the value of combining field expertise with structured self-reflection. It turns knowledge into growth strategies, helping small business owners lead with clarity and purpose.
