
Kia has unveiled specs and pricing for its first electric Purpose-Built Vehicle, The Kia PV5, with contracts starting tomorrow. According to Kia’s announcement, the PV5 is a mid-size EV designed to meet diverse mobility and logistics needs with an innovative platform.
Built on the E-GMP.S platform, the PV5 launches with Passenger and Cargo models. The Passenger Basic starts at 47.09 million won, and the Cargo Standard Basic at 42 million won, dropping to the mid-20 million won range with subsidies. A 350kW fast charger fills 80% in 30 minutes.
The Passenger model, a 5-seater, offers a 1,330–2,310-liter trunk and flexible seating, ideal for camping or family trips. The Cargo model, with up to 4,420 liters of space, boosts business efficiency. Single-charge ranges are 358 km for Passenger and 377 km for Cargo Long-Range.
A 12.9-inch display, Android-based infotainment, and Fleos Fleet management solution are included. Kia plans to roll out conversion models like Open Bed and Light Camper, delivering tailored mobility solutions.
