CU announced on April 14 that it has launched the "CU Next-Day Guaranteed Courier" service, the first of its kind in the convenience store industry, offering 24-hour delivery within the same region.
Previously, CU operated services such as CU Alttul Courier using its own logistics network, standard courier, home pickup courier, and DHL international express services. The new Next-Day Guaranteed Courier service delivers packages received before 6 PM, from Sunday to Friday, to the designated destination the very next day.
While standard convenience store couriers typically take 2 to 3 days, the CU Next-Day Guaranteed Courier completes delivery within 24 hours.Delivery is managed by Dillybox Central.
The service is also competitively priced.Shipping costs are 3,200 KRW for packages under 500g, 3,900 KRW for 500g to 1kg, 4,700 KRW for 1kg to 3kg, and 5,400 KRW for 3kg to 5kg, which is up to 37 percent cheaper than standard couriers.
CU plans to expand the service to major cities after launching in Seoul and analyzing customer demand.Until the end of May, CU will offer a 300 KRW discount across all size categories, allowing small packages under 500g to be sent for just 2,900 KRW.
