디에이치엘(DHL) 글로벌 포워딩이 우루과이 물류·포워딩 기업 아에로 카르가스(Aero Cargas S.A.)를 인수했다고 1일(현지시간) 밝혔습니다. 이번 인수로 우루과이에 첫 직접 운영 거점을 두게 됩니다.아에로 카르가스는 남미 물류 경력 58년 이상, 디에이치엘과 협력한 지는 33년입니다. 항공·해상 포워딩, 산업 프로젝트 물류, 육상 운송과 복합운송, 자유무역지대와 의약품 물류를 다뤄 왔습니다. 장기 파트너십을 완전 자회사 체제로 바꾸는 거래입니다.회사 측은 남미공동시장과 북미·대서양 항로를 잇는 우루과이 입지를 활용해 남미 남부 연결성과 헬스케어, 자유무역지대, 프로젝트 포워딩 역량을 보강하겠다고 설명했습니다. 디에이치엘 그룹은 2025년 20억 유로 투자 계획을 발표했고, 이 가운데 약 10%가 중남미에 쓰일 것으로 본다고 밝혔습니다.아에로 카르가스는 페루·에콰도르·아르헨티나·칠레를 묶은 피에이씨(PAC) 클러스터에 편입되며, 기존 직원은 디에이치엘 글로벌 포워딩으로 이동합니다. DHL Global Forwarding said on September 1 that it has acquired Aero Cargas S.A., a logistics and freight-forwarding company in Uruguay. The deal gives DHL Global Forwarding its first directly owned operation in the country.Aero Cargas has more than 58 years of experience in South American logistics and a 33-year relationship with DHL. Its work includes air and ocean forwarding, industrial project logistics, land transport, multimodal services, free-trade-zone operations and pharmaceutical logistics. The acquisition turns a long-standing partnership into a wholly owned unit.DHL said Uruguay’s position between Atlantic shipping lanes and Southern Cone inland routes will support connectivity across the region, and that the deal adds depth in healthcare, free-trade-zone logistics and project forwarding.
