한진이 오는 9월 6일 경기도 과천 렛츠런파크에서 열리는 코리아컵과 코리아스프린트에 참가하는 해외 경주마의 국제 왕복 수송을 수행한다고 31일 밝혔습니다.일본과 홍콩 등에서 출발한 말은 항공 수송 전용 장비인 호스 스톨(Horse Stall)에 실립니다. 스톨 안에는 배설물 흡수제와 톱밥, 건초를 깔고, 말 한 마리당 전담 관리인인 그룸(Groom) 두 명이 동승합니다.지난 25일 심야 인천공항 화물터미널에 도착한 경주마는 검역 전 땅을 밟지 않도록 높이 2미터 이상의 하마대와 특수 매트를 거쳐 차량으로 옮겨졌습니다. 육상 구간에는 무진동 차량이 투입되며, 급격한 출발과 제동을 제한하는 수송 가이드라인에 따라 과천 마방까지 이동합니다.코리아컵과 코리아스프린트는 한국마사회가 2016년 처음 연 국제 초청 경주로, 올해 10주년입니다. 코리아컵은 올해 국제경마연맹 기준 국제 그룹 2, 코리아스프린트는 국제 그룹 3으로 분류됩니다. 한진은 2023년 대회에서도 해외 경주마 수송을 맡은 바 있습니다. The stalls are lined with absorbent material, sawdust and hay, and two dedicated grooms accompany each horse.Horses that arrived at Incheon Airport’s cargo terminal late on the 25th were transferred via a bridge more than two meters high and special mats so they would not touch the ground before quarantine. On land they move in low-vibration vehicles to the Gwacheon stables under transport guidelines that restrict sudden starts and stops.The Korea Cup and Korea Sprint are international invitation races first hosted by the Korea Racing Authority in 2016 and mark their 10th anniversary this year. The Korea Cup is classified as International Group 2 and the Korea Sprint as International Group 3.
