GS칼텍스가 인천 윤활유 글로벌 물류센터를 완전 자동화 시설로 전환한다고 밝혔습니다.국내 위험물 취급 창고 최초로 4방향 셔틀형 자동 입출고 시스템(4-Way Shuttle형 AS/RS)을 도입해 2027년 초부터 입출고 전 과정을 자동화할 계획입니다. 제한된 공간에서도 고밀도 물류 운영이 가능해집니다.셔틀이 랙 내부를 전·후·좌·우 네 방향으로 이동하며 파렛트를 자동으로 처리하는 방식으로, 기존보다 공간 활용도가 높습니다. 제품 수용력은 약 3,700파렛트에서 4,600파렛트 이상으로 24% 확대되고, 시간당 처리량은 67파렛트에서 84파렛트로 25% 늘어납니다. 입출고 과정 무인화로 운영 효율과 안전성도 향상될 전망입니다.현대글로비스가 스마트 물류 솔루션 설계와 통합 제어 시스템 구축을 담당합니다. 이번 프로젝트는 GS칼텍스의 DAX(Digital & AI Transformation) 전략이 물류 현장에 적용되는 대표 사례로, 위험물 환경에서도 첨단 자동화 기술 적용이 가능하다는 점을 보여주는 선도적 사례로 평가됩니다. GS Caltex announced that it will convert its Incheon lubricant global logistics center into a fully automated facility.It will introduce Korea’s first 4-Way Shuttle-type Automated Storage and Retrieval System (AS/RS) for a hazardous materials warehouse, automating the entire inbound and outbound process from early 2027. This will enable high-density logistics operations even in limited space.The shuttle moves in four directions—forward, backward, left, and right—inside the racks to handle pallets automatically, offering higher space utilization than unidirectional systems. Storage capacity will expand from about 3,700 pallets to over 4,600 pallets, a 24% increase. Throughput will rise from 67 pallets per hour to 84 pallets per hour, a 25% gain. Unmanned operations are expected to improve both efficiency and safety.Hyundai Glovis is responsible for designing the smart logistics solution and building the integrated control system.
