전국택배노동조합 쿠팡본부는 8월 4일 쿠팡 서초캠프와 송파캠프에서 각각 택배기사가 폭염으로 쓰러지거나 탈진해 응급실로 이송된 사례가 발생했다고 5일 밝혔습니다.노조에 따르면 서초캠프 내부 온도가 42도에 달했다는 제보가 있었고, 송파캠프 기사는 1회전 물량 지연으로 2회전에 추가 배송을 하다가 저녁 시간에 탈진했다고 합니다.노조는 7월 29일부터 8월 4일까지 7개 지역 16개 캠프에서 79차례 온도를 측정한 결과, 86%인 68회가 산업안전보건규칙상 폭염 보건조치 기준인 33도를 넘었다고 발표했습니다. 40도 이상 측정이 10회였고, 최고 기록은 광주1캠프 야외 작업장 43.3도였습니다.노조는 간선차 지연 도착과 혼적 롤테이너, 배송마감시간 유지 등이 폭염 속 노동 강도를 높였다고 지적하며, 폭염 기간 배송완료시간 기준 한시 중단과 냉방 설비 설치, 정부 감독 등을 요구했습니다. Of these, 86% (68 measurements) exceeded 33°C, the industrial safety standard for heat-related health measures.
