As demand for electric vehicles and electronic devices grows, the risk of lithium battery fires is increasing.In response, Hanjin conducted a realistic fire response drill simulating a lithium battery cargo fire during B2B transportation.On June 10, at its Baekam branch in Gyeonggi Province, Hanjin carried out the training by assuming a fire broke out in lithium battery cargo being transported. The drill included immediate 119 emergency calls followed by rapid initial suppression using battery-specific extinguishers and fire blankets.Notably, CEO Noh Sam-seok and Vice Chairman Cho Hyun-min personally attended the site to observe the entire training process and assess employees’ emergency response capabilities. Hanjin also invited external experts to provide theoretical education and conducted hands-on practice sessions where employees directly used specialized battery fire suppression equipment.Hanjin has been consistently conducting timely safety drills every year.
