국토교통부가 오는 6월부터 국내 최초로 자율주행자동차를 활용한 유상 화물운송 서비스를 시작합니다. 허가를 받은 라이드플럭스(RideFlux)는 6월부터 서울 동남권 물류단지와 롯데택배 진천 메가허브터미널을 잇는 112킬로미터 구간에서 시속 90킬로미터로 택배를 운송할 예정입니다. 이번 서비스는 초기에는 안전을 위해 시험운전자가 운전석에 탑승한 상태로 운영되며, 2027년부터는 무인 자율주행으로 단계적으로 전환합니다. 정부는 올해 안에 강릉 등 전국 주요 지역으로 자율주행 화물운송 서비스를 확대할 계획입니다. 박준형 국토교통부 모빌리티자동차국장은 “자율주행 기술이 화물운송 분야에서 큰 도약을 이룰 것으로 기대한다”며 “여객뿐 아니라 화물운송에서도 경쟁력을 강화하겠다”고 밝혔습니다. RideFlux, which has received approval, plans to start a delivery service in June on a 112-kilometer route connecting the Southeast Logistics Complex in Seoul and Lotte Logistics’ Jincheon Mega Hub Terminal, traveling at 90 km/h. The service will initially operate with a safety driver in the seat, transitioning to fully driverless autonomous operation starting in 2027.
